National Museum of The Philippines

Comments

If you don’t have plan for weekend, why don’t you visit The National Museum of the Philippines this Sunday? A great place to learn and spend time watching the Philippines’ historic and cultural treasures.
Unfinished work of Fernando Amorsolo
When we got there a lady assisted us to the receptionist to sign the logbook. After that another lady came to us and led the way to another room where the paintings of Juan Luna and Felix Hidalgo are located. There were other rooms you can visit, there is a huge room made for Fernando Amorsolo's art works. Using flash in your camera inside the gallery is not allowed. The flash causes the colors of the paint to fade. Touching is also not allowed because the sweaty fingers may react to the canvas.
Spoliarium of Juan Luna
TRIVIA: Did you know Juan Luna kill  his wife?
The second floor wasn’t available that day because it is being used by the senators.  We were not able to see the bone structure of a whale and handmade crafts of different ethnics of the Philippines. Some rooms are not available because the building is under renovation. We went to the next building where Philippines culture are shown.
